This is where it started and where it ended. Saint Joe began in this building, abandoned it when they moved to the other side of the highway, and then re-occupied it when the college surrendered its accreditation and suspended operations. Only the first floor and exterior had been renovated, but I had access the other floors and took some photos.
It was announced on Friday, February 3 of 2017 that Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana would be suspending its operations. I had lived on this campus most of my adult life in a couple different dual-roles that included Residence Life. Lexi and I walked around Lake Banet on our first date. I took the time to walk around and take some pictures before leaving for Iowa.
August 10, 2020. It was pretty windy. Why are the alarms going off though? It's not a tornado! Most of us learned a new word that day. I was living at Mount Mercy at the time. There was too much work to be done to go around taking pictures right after the storm hit, but I did take some time a few days after the storm to snap a few.
