In 2015, Lexi and I were on vacation in Monterey, CA. We brought a camera Lexi had purchased for her art class and were on a whale-watching boat ride. I held onto it after a bit and tried to watch the birds to catch a whale breaching. And well, I did. And that's how it started; I was hooked. For about a year, starting September 2021, I went without a camera in favor of building a home gym and with the hopes of updating to a mirrorless, full-frame system when I could return to the hobby.

4/6/25: It has been a MINUTE. I got caught up shooting the Eastern Iowa Adult Baseball League last year and didn't get out for much more wildlife. I'm going to do a little less of that (still doing that) and a little more wild life this summer. Added photos to Birds (In the Wild), Ducks & Geese, and Turtles.
